What are you going to do different in 2011?

As we take stock of this year, the lessons and challenges as well as the successes and triumphs.

The greatest challenge we always face is the “person in the mirror”. Change is individual in order for a society to change. Individuals create change based on a change in their thought process, actions, words and deeds.

In the midst of the darkest of times there are opportunities. This is not the darkest of times. Fear brings destruction.

It is a proven fact, historically, when people worked together in difficult times, they survived to grow and thrive.

First we must work with ourselves to always improve and elevate personally, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.

These times require us to work together first within the family, then the neighborhood, the community, the state, the country, and the planet.

Fear produces blocks in our lives. Fear can manifest as stubbornness, greed, insecurity, selfishness, and panic.


Fear causes us to make decisions that create the situation we were trying to avoid.


To improve the situation you have let go of fear. You let fear control you for far too long.


There are many people depending upon you to think, act and proceed with courage and wisdom.


There are many people depending upon you to "Hear The Creator's Voice" guide you.

‎1 billion PPL suffer from hunger, 41 billion pounds of food have been wasted this year in the U.S.

True change will happen based on our individual actions.

To change the world we must change ourselves.

True change is in our hands.

With all this shouting back and forth we cannot hear each other.

If we cannot hear each other, then we cannot have a meaningful dialogue. 

We need to learn how to disagree with each other, and not let minor disagreements blind us to the fact we are interdependent. Like it or not. It is what it is.


Time to mature as a nation, this is our true test. There is a way to disagree civilly, intelligently and rationally. 


 It requires each of us to live this way every day with everything we do.

The Circle

The underground railroad had many stops along the station to freedom. There are many more that were left behind.

The Toughest Battle

This is a time for facing the battles deep within that we share with no one. The reality of our inner dialogue is the reflection of our true self. 


The false words and deceptions we give to others will not protect us from ourselves and this battle.

Each of us has our respective journey that cannot be compared to others.

It is ours alone. 


The people in your life are the mirror to your true self at this moment. 


There are times we all have to sink to the depths of our darkness to elevate to our highest light. 


Understand not everyone can be in your life during this journey for it is yours alone.

As consumers of the internet we need to pay attention to the corporate battles for competitive advantage and dominance in the market place between AOL, YAHOO & MICROSOFT.

This impacts consumers. Watch the quarterly losses or gains for each company, stock price, how low it falls and the purchase price. Who is leading the various companies - The Board of Directors, The Stockholders, CEO, consumers or employees?

When the dust settles perhaps the competition will be between Google and the winning organization.

4 FACTS FOR EACH DECADE

I share with you my outlook at this stage of my life being in my 40s. I see the older I get; the more I know I don’t know. Perfection no longer controls me. We live today with the coldness of perfection. We are challenged by the consequences of the actions of people being right. Our focus on perfection has caused us as humans to harm and kill countless precious souls throughout time on this planet. In keeping with the universal fact that as one matures you learn AND that less is more.

Here are my top 4 – One for each decade of my life

• My vision as a child I was the way things should be.
• I was critical and judgmental in my youth, because life is not the way I envisioned it to be.
• I fight against the reality of life and struggle to learn to endure the pain, disappointment, hurt and betrayals because life is not the way I envisioned.
• In my actions and thoughts I choose to live by seeing, appreciating and valuing the beauty and preciousness of life’s imperfections and pains to manifest Blessings and Miracles.

To explain my fourth bullet:
• In embracing that I am the co-creator of my life, I am totally responsible for my thoughts, words, deeds and actions with each breathe I take.

• I am responsible as a Human Being, to always pray to choose wisely and hear My Creator’s voice in all that I do and don’t do. (Wise is different from being right)

• The Time is Now for all of us to give Thanks with our daily actions for being Human.

• Endure the pain of being right. (Yes at this stage in life there is little joy in being right)

• Living the reality that freedom is not free.

• It is ok to not know.

Fear is an illusion.

There are times I am so comfortable in my solitude. I need that time to maintain my balance and sanity in the midst of an insane world. I remember a time when I hated being alone. I had to always be on the phone talking to my friends, going out, partying, and going over my friend’s house. I hated being alone.

Yet there comes a time in everyone’s life, you have to become comfortable with spending time with yourself. It has taken a very long time for me to live in this place with myself. Now my first inclination is to spend quiet time with me, I have to balance my life to make sure to have people around.

I remember a time when I became overwhelmed interacting with so many people. I began to lose myself. Then I went to the other extreme in order to regain my balance. I did not find it comforting just better than being around a lot of people. It took years before solitude became a joyful, fun time for me. It is a joyful time when I connect with others too. I don’t get overwhelmed by other people’s negativity. I understand we all have our respective lessons to learn along the way. That is life.

How we each deal with perceived conflict, hurt feelings, betrayal, and fear determines everything. When we continue to choose fear we limit ourselves. My Godmother constantly told me fear is an illusion. I am still learning what that means. Fear is an illusion. Fear feels so real. Our reaction to fear is real. Fear is used to control. Fear is used to dominate. One dominates another based on fear. What happens when fear is the foundation of a relationship? What happens when fear is the foundation of a society? What happens when fear dictates your actions?

I can only come to understand by dealing with my fears. In my solitude I gain understanding of myself, allowing me to gain understanding of others. My thoughts today are about this time of Pluto in Capricorn is an awesome time for transformation. Individual transformation creates the transformation in society. We really are the change we seek. That is a Universal truth. Beyond our differences we are all human beings. Life on this planet has existed for millions of years. Why do we think we have all the answers?
